What are believers suppose to get out of meeting together? In Paul’s letter to the Corinthians the believers were not getting the best outcome of their gatherings. Paul sets out to teach them how to ‘have church’ so the blessings of being together will increase.

• Attitude—Romans 12:1-10
  • Make the physical body a living sacrifice
  • Renewal of the mind to increase discernment of God’s mind (will).
  • Think soundly (soberly)
  • What does faith have to do with thinking?
  • We are dependently connected to each other.
  • In a healthy body all parts function diligently in their given expertise and purpose.
  • Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
• Practice—I Corinthians 14:26-32
  • We meet to build each other up…to learn and be encouraged.
  • We meet to pool our understanding by use of natural and super natural gifts.
  • We meet to pool mind power… “let the others judge” (verse 29)
  • We meet to listen to one another.
